“I was tired of seeing homeowners get ripped off.”

Friends, neighbors and family kept asking Homework's founder the same questions: Who should I call? Can I trust this contractor? Does this estimate seem fair?

He realized most people don't buy HVAC systems, roofs or major repairs often enough to become experts—and they shouldn't have to. One family experience made the problem impossible to ignore.

He helped a relative find a provider who installed a new heating and cooling system for about $8,000, after she had received much higher estimates. That experience helped inspire Homework: a trusted advocate and a more convenient way to manage home services.
